Was Aang a terrible father? Sure he may have put lots of his attention on Tenzin, or arguably neglected Bumi and Kya because they weren't air benders while he was alive. I was honored by her request, I said yes. She then was so excited that all she needed was a martial artist that practices Hung Gar, the art for Earth.
